I have the exact same problem, and oddly, it occurred on the same day. I have absolutely no clue what steps to take to resolved the problem.

You should monitor the content of solutions before sending them to anyone.

Samsung V8600 keeps "loading disc" and eventaully shows error message. Shall I chuck it? Its 2 years old.

DVD's will not play. There is an error message saying just that for any DVD. Nothing I can do helps.

I've been having the same problem. Called Samsung and after receiving a few useless suggestions from a smart-@## rep, I was told Samsung could fix it if I sent it in with a check for $120, which is more than I paid for the unit. Any real solutions would be welcome.

Same problem. The screen reads, "loading" for a brief eternity, before announcing that "This disk cannot be played. Please check the disk." Ours is an approx. 2 year old DVD-V4600.

I had the same problem. All I did was remove the cover and cleaned the lens with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. DVD player works like new.

I'm idiot because I bought a Samsung DVD.

It was never working correctly, and I advise every one not to buy any Samsung DVD or VCR.

Neither my DVD or video played and I was convinced it was the player since it didn't seem to be loading. However, as it turned out, I had not selected the source on the TV.

HOW DO I TYPE NAMES OF CD OR DVD ?

You can't add a title to a disc from a player (such as this). You can only add a title on a disc writer before finishing the disc. (The only exception is RW (rewritable) disc which can be unfinished.) If a title (disc, chapter or track) is on the disc you can display it. Press Title on the remote. If you want to read all of the information on any disc, insert the disc and press Load on the player (when in Stop mode) or press the TV/DiscExplorer/DVD button to set the unit in Disc Explorer mode. It takes about 30 seconds to load the data. Press Stop to cancel the data search. Then use the folder buttons (ALL,DVD,CD,A,B,C,D) on the remote or the player to read the various items. Press Return to leave the folders. If you enter the Disc Explorer while playing a disc, the playback will stop and you will have to press Play to restart (Resume is not an available option).

Once loaded the player will store the data even after you remove the disc. It will clear when a new disc is inserted or you press Load.

The manual for this unit is available at: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DVPCX850D .

I hope this helps.

We can't get the factory 6 disc cd player to load more than 1 disc. What is the sequence for loading additional discs?

The following is the owner's manual for your 2004 Dodge Neon:

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html?year=2004&nameplate=Neon

P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

Wow, that's a lot of typing.
I didn't know the 2004 Dodge Neon had such a nice changer.
Good luck.

I insert a disc. It loads, then either 1 or 2 shows in the display, but nothing functions and the disc will not play. It is a region 2 disc I tried

\usually when a disc won`t play ,it just displays "No Disc".

Is the disc matching the dvd code?
Is the region code correct?
Have you checked what discs the dvd will play, in front of manual.

If those are ok the dvd must have condensation in it.
Place in a warm room, turn on and leave for 2-3 hrs
Then try again fingers crossed for you.
