Well it might be an issue with the av cables or the rf switch or the tv its self. One time I plugged my SNES console into the rya jacks for video 2 and the screen was in black grey and white but I tried it on video 1 with my av cable and channel 3 for my rf switch and it was fine. It could be the problem that i had.

SOURCE: N64 Blinking on and off

It seems like an issue with the cartridge slot (as in there's a bad connection somewhere, causing the connection with the cart to be lost, then restored, then lost... etc). Try giving it a good blast with a can of compressed air or possibly go over it with a Q-tip soaked in glass cleaner or 50% isopropyl alcohol.

It may also be an issue with the power cable. I have a similar problem with my Genesis resetting and turning off. It turned out to be caused by a faulty, loose, power cable. Try finding another power cable for your N64 and see if it makes adifference.

SOURCE: Plug in the wii system and everything comes in black and white

Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.

SOURCE: n64 wont read games properly.

there is a possibility that with a 64 being such an old system, the contacts that read the game might be corroded. You can buy a kit from Gamestop that comes with all the tools you need to clean the contacts on the cartridge and the system.

color circuit is out, try banging the set on the frame with the palm of your hand to see if color comes on or fluctuates, if so you have a loose component which is only fixable by you if you are really knowledgeable about the inside of a TV

N64 colors do not work when hooked up to Vizio TV.

You probably have the RCAs in the component video hookups. Its easy to confuse them as they are similar ports. They are usually red, blue, and green. Look for the yellow, white, and red hookups. Those are for RCA connections as they don't work in the component hookups for HD video. i.e. blue-ray, PS3 That will cause the video to look grey and grainy.

Well the part inside of the super nintendo console that controlls the graphics the graphics chip might be not connected properly to the internal part of the console is either broken or starting to wear out.

My Tv doesn't display the N64 game. No sounds come out also.

What you need to do is, first check the tv av input is working, use a dvd player or any other device with the red, white and yellow plugs.
If it works, the problem may be the nintendo AV cable, they are cheap and worth the few bucks to re live all those nostalgic game moments. If replaceing the AV cable doesnt work, check all the solder joints around the AV socket on the N64 main board. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Can't not get our Nintendo 64 to work on our new Bravia TV

The Nintendo 64 sends out a signal that can only be properly decoded by old CRT TV's

Those Bravia TV's are the God's TV's even if they did work on it I wouldn't recommend it because it would most definitely eventually ruin the life span of your TV.

But to answer your Question the Cables should be plugged into AV1 which is the Red White and Yellow Connections

N64 isn't working with Vizio HDTV...

Do this, hook it up to another tv just to make sure that the N64 is workig properly. If it works on another tv then you know the system is fine. If it doesn't work on another tv then it could be that you have dirty games and you need to clean the contacts and then reinsert them into the system and get them to work.

Keep the system on a known good working tv until you can get your games to work and display properly. You can clean the games by using a damp q-tip and wiping the contacts on the bottom of the game back and forth a bunch of times, there will probably be all kinds of black that comes off.

keep on trying games untill you get one to work and display properly, then go ahead and move the tv to the one you want it to work on and test it out and it just might work then.
