Hi,

There are couple reasons for the bad smell . The easy way to remove it is to make a boil wash (with no clothes and detergents) put in the powder's drawer a cup of bicarbonate of soda.

It should clean the machine and move out the bad smell.

When i wash it smells like rooting eggs i tryed bleach and the tablets but smells up the hole house what wrong its a lg tromm wm-2487hwm steam washer

I had the same problem. You must take out your clothes immediately and leave the door open after every wash to let the inside of the washer completely dry. I believe I read to run a cycle of bleach water and wipe down the inside of the door and interior with bleach/water mixture. Then let it dry. You then can start washing your clothes again, but you must be diligent about leaving the door open to air out between washings.Hope this works for you. I almost sold my machines shortly after I bought them because my clothes were always smelly after washing. Leaving the door open has worked for us.

How do we clean with this machine .

Is this a front-load washer or top load?

Is the machine operating properly, or are your clothes getting a musty smell?

The musty smell has a few solutions, One may work but probably a combination of all will work best.

Immediately move wet clothes to the dryer, do not let them sit in the washer for a long time.
If your clothes smell, put mouthwash with your clothes directly in the tub during the wash cycle (this will not stain your clothes)
leave the door open when not in use (lets it dry out)
If the washer smells, use bleach and hot water in an empty cycle once in a while (kills just about every kind of bacteria or mold which may be causing the smell)
Use washing machine cleaner once in a while(can be found at your local grocery store isle next to detergent)
Dry your clothes completely, damp clothes can start to smell again.

If you are looking for a new washer, try to find a newer model that features a stainless steel tub with silver impregnation. The silver is a natural disinfectant.

It sounds like your leaving the clothes in the washer long after the cycle is finished. Once your clothes smell from the washer they will smell moldy dry.

No recall, Pour 2 cups of bleach into the washer, Wash on HOT water, long cycle. Then wipe seal with dry cloth. This will eliminate the mold smell... To stop it from coming back ALL front load washer doors MUST be left open to allow the rubber seal to dry, Just like you close your shower curtain so it doesn't get musty smelling... 2 hours is about the dry time... wiping the seal with a cloth usually helps too... Clothes come our smelling bad

Run a load empty on the hottest setting with a cup of bleach.

Then, after finished using the machine each day, leave the door open for a few hours to allow the rubber seal to dry.

The dryer may be getting too hot. Check vent for obstruction from unit to outside.
