PSP screen wont go on

I just bought a new game for my PSP and it asked me if I wanted to update my PSP. I said no and my psp shut down. Now my PSP screen wont go on. I tried removing the battery, the hold button, another game. All of it wont work... The green light goes on but nothing on the screen appears. Then it turned its self off in a min or so.

Re: PSP screen wont go on

I am sorry but I have to clarify that there ain't anybody stupid enough to make some virus for psp yet.

Options for you are:

Send back to sony for repair, or

Buy a set of pandora battery and memory stick, you can find my little guide in this section, just somewhere near the bottom page.

Re: PSP screen wont go on

What happened was that the new game was doing the update before you said no. It was removing the memory from the psp and when you try to turn it back on, there is no memory for it to start. The only that can be done is that it has to going into the shop for repair/exchange....there is nothing you can do to get back the psp working again. It also happened to me and Sony explained the problem.

I want to put umd games on to my memory stick v6.0 psp3004 how can i do it can i download umd dumper for 6.0,if so give me the steps to go about

See its not that easy. You have a Firmware version that is too new for any type of action that you are trying. First off sony wont allow this cause anyone could just dump a game and then also share it which is not legal. Second since you have a psp 3000 series you can not downgrade your psp to the proper firmwares for what you want to do.

Your best bet is to get a new psp{ if u want too} any version is good but there's one catch. The Firmware has to be below 5.03. This means you have to buy a used psp to check and see if it has the proper firmware or below. Then u can start the process, and you can have all your purchased psp games on your memory stick [noting that newer games will need different firmwares which I'm not familiar with but there is plenty of support and help on the net] i only like to play my playstation one games on my psp which doesnt need the newer updates plus i do not own any psp games cause there not that great but man i love playing re2 on my psp

if you don't mind buying a new psp then you can do what you want now, but you wont have support for 3000 series above 5.03 for a few years. people are working on it but its not easy and it takes time.

If you buy a psp or obtain a psp with firmware 5.03 or below please post a comment about my response explaining you have one and wish to proceed.

Note that when you buy a psp used please make sure that you ask to check for damage to the psp screen and while doing so check the firmware and make sure its below 5.03. plus you dont want a damaged screen as it takes away from the psps quality.

Sound for psp

1) If you bought the same game again it may be a problem with that batch of games.

2) It is NOT a Firmware issue as the game will not play without the correct firmware installed.

3) Although, it is worth a try shutting down the PSP System (not on Sleep Mode) or updating the firmware as this problem may have been corrected in the latest update.

PSP won't play any games

the reason the umd wont load is because someone shut the psp off when the game was loading. so whoever did that just messed up your psp. i know cause someone did it to mine now i have to get it fixed or buy a new one. and to get the psp fixed its not guna be cheap.

Sony psp

The first check the version you are running on psp, >> Go to the PSP Menu and move across to the "Settings Menu". Scroll down, select to "System Settings" >> "System Information" and you should see version of your PSP. If the UMD has a high version than ur console, u need to update ur psp.

see at my blog for psp update guides.
