Question about Fujitsu Plasmavision PDS-4233 42 in. Television
I recently acquired this television from an office building. They could not get the picture to show up so I told them I'd take it.
I got it home and tried several input sources including my computer and my playstation2 (I didn't try the S-Video as I don't have a cable, only coax and there's not coax input).
When I power it up the red light changes to green as usual, and the screen flashes on for one second then goes black. I can get no sound or picture. I cannot see menu options on the plasma when I push the menu button.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

not sure your model number is correct please check here is a manual for the 42 CL plasma TV http://www.hitachiserviceeu.com/scripts/userguide.php/CL42PD2100_EN.pdf if it is a different set please check the model number, this should have a 42 in it (as it is 42")

how old is your plasma TV? try check the switch / volume of the sound settings.. Sometimes, when you always increase the volume, it will tend to alter the limit of sound and causing the sound to provide sound undesiredness. I suggest to check it with a liscensed technician.

Hi, The problem comes from the power supply board. The power supply board is a three phase unit. One phase on the power supply failed, that would be the reason for the no picture. You can have the power supply board repair or replace. If you are within the manufacturer warranty, they "should" replace the part ( power supply board) at no cost to you. Mike

This is most likely caused by the Main Power pcb.
See Fujitsu Service Bulletin on this problem in a similar model from Fujitsu. -see link below
A competent service technician should be able to implement the service bulletin.
A similar service bulletin is probably available for your model. Request bulletin from Fujitsu 'email@example.com'
