My Protron DVD Recorder, PD-DVR100! I am trying to hook up my DVD Recorder to my Directv HD DVR recorder or my tv, but I don't know how. I had it hook up with the regular box with Directv and it works, but when I tryed to hook it up to my HD Box, I am no getting a tv signal. I use the HMdi cable and the red, white and yellow cable, also the red, blue and green cable, And I still can't get a signal on Tuner, Video 1, 2, and 3. I am also using the RF in and out cables. Can some one please help me. Because if this problem can't be fix I will have to leave Directv. I had Dishnetwork and it worked just fine.

- The Direct tv HD DVR box does not have a out. It has a second in. Your saying hook up from the wall to the in on the directv box and for the out of that put it in to the DVD recorder. Please can you explain. I have tried it that way I am still not getting a tv signal. Oct 13, 2009

- It would work only if my dvd recorder came with a hdmi cable. so is there a diagram using RF cable and the red, white and yellow cable, or S, video. if you can help me I would really appreicate it. I have JVC 42" Model LT42-789, and a Protron DVD Recorder PD-DVR-100, and Direct TV HD DVR box. If you can get a diagram from each of these item you can see that The Direct TV only have 2 Satalites (in) and not (out). Oct 13, 2009
- My TV has it, and my DVD Recorder has it, but the Direct TV doesn't...Oct 13, 2009

- I wish that you could have seen the Direct Tv HD DVR box in the back of it. Then you could tell me. Direct Tv said that I could not be done, they made it like that because of some FCC Rule. But thanks any way, I really appreciate all of your input. I really do. Now I upset because I can't record movies or just regular tv, On my New HD TV. But again thanks so much for your help, I have been up for two days trying to get this. I guess, I'll have to put it back on one of the regular boxes. Oct 14, 2009
- The Direct TV box, does not look like that. It does have an in and out on the side of the diagram, and it doesn't have and out on it. It has two In.Oct 15, 2009
- You Are The MAN! After Direct TV themselves said that it could not be done. You did it. There are no words to express how I feel right now. I just want to say Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you. After 4 Days of working on this, I could now say that it is Finished.....Now I can record the things that I want to take off of my DVR on to a DVD. Again, You Are The MAN!....
