Sakar mp3 player-not playing

I got my son this mp3 player for Christmas-spent the whole day downloading and not one thing has played yet. According to the computer songs are on the mp3 player-but they don't play when you try to use the mp3 player. Sakar International is the maker and it says 48097 on the book that came with it.

-   I'm having the same problem. I keep getting a "No Authority" message when I try to play the song on the device. My thought is it's not compatible with either my Napster or possible Windows Media Player which I usually use to manage our songs. I plan to take this back and get a "Plays for Sure" compatible MP3 player.-   Guest

I ran into an issue with regard to loading content on the player using Media Player Sync feature. I found that I would get an error until I disabled the lock slide control on the side of the player

No solution, but I keep getting a "disk is write-protected" message when I try to copy files to my daughter's 48097, which was purchased last night.
