It doesn't even show the picture or anything. A green light flashes on the back (Optimus 8.0 Megapixels Digital Camera).

Hi, I'd suggest using a wall charger as they're able to provide more power to charge then a computers USB port. Often with camera's the USB port doesn't supply enough power so the camera doesn't charge at all.

The camera either has a stuck aperture inside the lens or a bad CCD sensor.

The aperture is the opening that allows light to enter the lens. If it's stuck closed no light goes in, so no display on the LCD and solid black pictures. The way to fix it is to replace the lens. You can try tapping or banging the camera on it's side on your hand or even gently on a table. This might unstick the aperture for a short time, but it will just stick again later.

If the CCD is bad the sensor won't show anything other than solid black, or sometimes purple/pink smeared lines. Again the solution is to replace the lens assembly, or look for a used CCD online and just switch that out instead.

You Can Change The Size Of The Picture By Clicking The +/- Button And There You Can Select The Size Used In The Memory For The Picture But You Cannot Change The MegaPixels Used Becase MegaPixels Just Mean The Quality Of The Picture

i dont know how to turn on the light/flash of my digital camera,even i put in the flash mode it doesnt work.it is a primier digital camera.

the resolution of this camera is not very high, with only 3.1 megapixels. you can go to websites like fixmyvideo.com to improve the video, but to get better quality in future videos I would suggest buying a camera with more megapixels. 7 or 8 megapixels are relatively good and you can get a camera with that many for about $90.

Perhaps you need to format your memory card or your batteries need to be changed. Hope this helps.

If you have used the camera a lot in that time frame then I would try a new battery first.

okay, turn on the camera then there is like a silver button so that you cansee pictures.well press the one that has a sign that looks like lighting ( its actually flash). Press it and press the up arrow 2 times and you got your flash.

The memory is irrelevant when it comes to quality, what counts is what you set the camera for, how high resolution, how many megapixels. The different memory types hold different numbers of pictures. Seems the Comact Flash holds the most currently, they even have CF cards with hard drives in them. Smartmedia has never gotten very big, the CF holds a lot more and seems to be the type to shoot for, though the new smaller modules are attractive if you need a real small camera, again though you sacrifice size for quality and megapixels.
