Question about Cornea MP800 18.1 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Cornea flatscreen mp704 monitor

I hit the power button and turned the monitor off while I was trying to leave the computer up. When I attempted to turn the monitor back on it did not respond. It happened once and somehow I got lucky for it to come back on. I unplugged it and pressed buttons and one of the times I plugged it back in it came on. Someone else in our home turned it off again and I have not been able to get it to come back on.

Need driver for Cornea MP704

Hi
I have the same monitor on one of my test benches. For a long time I tried to find drivers for this because I thought it would make a difference. Finally a year or so ago I found a drivers company which said they had it. For $20 I could download it and many others. I did so and didn't really see much improvement when I installed it. I finally got to thinking that maybe I should look closer at this code I purchased. Well as I suspected this code was actually the Microsoft generic LCD monitor code which had been relabeled. I turned it over to Microsoft. But to answer your question I have never found drivers that are specific for any Cornea monitor. Sorry

Flatscreen monitor

Solution: The following is monitor troubleshooting. If your monitor receives a proper display until it gets into Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, or Windows XP please refer to document CH000192.
Monitor is not on Make sure the monitor is on. If no power light (green or orange light) is seen on the monitor display try pressing the power button until it comes on. If no light comes on after several attempts continue to below connections not connected properly.
Computer is asleep If your computer monitor was on and you stepped away from the computer and upon returning it was black it's likely that the computer is asleep. Try moving your mouse, clicking the mouse buttons, and/or pressing any key (space bar) on the keyboard to wake it up.
Connections not connected properly Make sure that you are connecting the monitor to the back of the computer in the 15 pin (illustrated below) or older computer 9 pin connection.
video.gif If the computer is properly plugged in, make sure it's getting getting power.
If you are not receiving power from a known working wall outlet and if the power cord is removable, replace it with the one connected to the computer and attempt to power on the monitor again. If the monitor still does not get power or it is not removable, it is recommended that the monitor be replaced or serviced at a local TV / Computer repair shop.
If the monitor is receiving power, check the status light.
If the light is orange or flashing ensure that the monitor is not in a suspend mode by moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard. If the computer does not get a display by moving the mouse or touching the keyboard, turn off the computer and monitor and reconnect the data cable from the back of the computer, and if removable, the back of the monitor. Turn the computer back on; if you still encounter the same issue, continue reading through the other possibilities.
Monitor settings are not correct Ensure that the brightness and contrast is turned up or attempt to adjust the brightness and contrast. If adjusting the brightness or contrast has no affect on the monitor continue reading through the other possibility.
Does the computer beep when it is powered on and/or does it appear that the computer has activity? If the computer does not beep or beeps abnormally it is possible that the computer itself is experiencing a hardware issue or is exhibiting .

External Monitor

No. This is almost certainly a setting issue. Go in to the control panels and change the way the monitor is used. I.E. extension desktop, mirror, etc. Then check the settings for the second monitor and make sure it is not set to some huge size or resolution. This is a function of the MacBook and OSX. I had a similar issue when connecting it to a 71" DLP.

Cornea Monitor Troubleshooting CT1700

it could be something as simple as your power settings in control panel> power options, then the first window called power schemes pops up and all monitor, harddisk and system standby should be set at never. Also check on you monitor menu for any power saving options and turn them off. If the monitors still turn off then there has to be a deeper fault with the monitors and not with the power options.
