Hello, amp-amp!

The first piece of information we need to find out is whether there is any sound from the 360 at all. When you switch menus in the dashboard, do you hear anything?

Do other games have proper sound?

Which game are you trying to play? Some games give the option to alter what sound setup you are using. If your current sound setup does not support 7.1, 5.1 surround sound, etc.. you will not hear anything.

Go to your dashboard.
Press the Right Bumper until you get to the "System" tab. Select "Console Settings".
Select "Audio".
Select "Digital Output".
Select "Dolby Digital".
Any sound now?

And, as with any audio problem, we need to make sure your audio cables are plugged into the proper jacks. What type of a/v output cables are you using on your 360 (i.e. what color are the tips?).

Thanks, reply back with any information you have, please!

Im trying to play nancy drew secrets can kill, and its all instulled. however when i click on the shortcut to play the game i get a black screen with a box in the middle that says ''nancy drew is unable to...

if you desperately want to play nancy drews that have that problem, there is a way but this way youl have no sound but the game will still play.
Go into the directory where you installed the game and then o into the game.ini file. it should open in a notepad.
go to sound system is active=1.
change the 1 into a 0. then enjoy. the game may have no sound but its still the game ayyy
nd dont try and change the volume or else the game shut down.

Why aren't my games playing on the nintendo fc twin?

The FC Twin connects through an RCA connector, and can be hooked into a surround sound system. When using stereo and surround output from these systems, NES sounds and music may seem very different from their typical mono output. Using output modes that properly generate mono sound, either through a single center speaker or cloned to multiple speakers, the sound output sounds mostly identical to the original NES. The FC Twin does not produce some sounds faithfully, even with mono output; sound effects in the Super Mario Bros. series games will for example immediately seem different. Nevertheless, some later models of the console produce NES sound much more faithfully than units made closer to launch. Recent models produce sound with complete fidelity.

Inserted disc press play grinding sound and disc left scrapped

If your xbox box it's new I would take it back and get another one, becase you do probable have problems with your dvd drive and it will keep scratching the games. the laser on the drive doesn't work as hard when playing a music cd than when it plays a game or a dvd.

If you don't want to take it back, then play a couple dvds and if it reads then fine then you could try again. it shiudn't take more than ten second to read a game so if its taking longer just get it out.
