You will need to get a genuine fan kit form a service center, then elevate the vac and remove the carpet head. From the back of the housing there will be a series of screws facing forward into the front housing, several are counter sunk. Removing them will replace the front face of the housing. You should not have to pry.Look for partly hidden screws
The belt shaft is threaded, once removed pay attention to washer and spacer location in front and back of fan.
Grip the old fan by hand and the shaft with a set of vice grips or slid a long nail through the fan shaft hole to unscrew the shaft.
Installation is reverse order with the shaft and screws hand tight... Post back to say how you make out
