TG-3018 Tiger power supply for NCR POS PC system...keeps shutting off within 5 minutes of starting.

Is it overheating, and shutting itself down, to prevent heat-related damage?
Check that any fans inside the unit are still working.
Replace it.

Just purchased a 2TB iomega eGo ext drive. Took it out of the box, connected it to me MAC and started backing up the data on my computer. AFter a few minutes it disappeared from my desktop - now it won't...

If problem is with drive, this may not work. If problem is with enclosure, you have to open the enclosure, extract the drive and get a HDD dock (usually around $15-$30) and access the drive that way.

The power button on my computer wont turn the computer. so i unplugged it for several days. plugged it back in and it powered up. lost power weeks later . same problem unplugeed for a month, power button...

You supply is fault sensitive. If the supply see and surge, it will shut down and timeout.
If you disconnect the unit for 3 or 4 minutes after the power disruption, that should be enough time for the supply to reset.
You may want to invest in a UBS or APC, inline with your pc.
Hope this has helped.

Dell HP-P2507FW Power Supply

Before Working Inside Your Computer notice.gif NOTICE: Before touching anything inside your computer, ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface, such as the metal at the back of the computer. While you work, periodically touch an unpainted metal surface to dissipate any static electricity that could harm internal components.
You can try resetting the motherboard. To do the same follow the following steps

1. Disconnect all the cables from the back of the computer
2. Look for a silver coin shaped battery on the motheboard.
3. Pry the battery out using a filer or falt head srewdriver. Be careful not to damage the motherboard
4. Press the power button in the front for 5 seconds
5. Reinsert the battery
6. Reconnect the keyboard ,monitor and power cord and power on the system
