The picture went out on my hp plasma and all the repair guys I've called have told me that it will cost $300 - $400 to repair even though they don't know what the problem is. I'm wondering if there is a more cost efficient way to fix my plasma and if it is even worth repairing, or if I should just use the money that I would pay for the repair towards a new LED tv?Thank you!
Plasma TVs are sophisticated, compact assemblies with persistent high voltages inside. Repairs are expensive no matter where you go. All the parts are proprietary.
If you Google your model number and find similar reports of problems, buy a different set.
