Curser seems to jump ramdom to the middle or beginning of what ever sentences I am writing. this is very frustrating b/c it will appear in the middle of a word causing incorrect spelling of the words. Did i activate somekind of activity by accident or is this more of a serious problem. It happens on my G$ ibook.

You could have activated the Universal access control panel. Go to system preferences select Universal Access see if anything is switched on either under keyboard or mouse. If any are switched on switch them off close the control panel and see if the problem still occurs.

You have not said if this is associated with word or a particular application. If it is word go preferences within word and see what is checked in the "Edit" section

While im typing, my curser skips back into the middle of my sentences, and i have to retype my whole sentence again...what is causing this to happen and how can i fix, thank you

if it is the same thing that happens to me you need to shut off your touchpad (mousepad) when you are typing as your fingers or palms cause the curser to jump if you touch it while typing

My curser keeps jumping into the middle of my sentence when i type.

If you have a laptop with a touchpad just below the spacebar be careful that you are not accidentally hitting the touchpad. I had an identical problem on one of my laptops, and simply switching to using a mouse and turning off the touchpad fixed the problem for me.

When typing, my curser will usually jump to the middle of a previous sentence and start typing in the middle of another word. It does not seem to matter what program I am using. Any suggestions?

Typing and keyboard issues

If you're using a laptop, it sounds like the trackpad is too sensitive, so that as you type, when your thumbs touch the pad, the cursor moves.  You can adjust this easily in settings/preferences.

Curser jumps around on page

You will need to set the touchpad sensitivity,
Depending on your operating system.
  1. Start Menu
  2. Control Panel
  3. Switch to Classic View
  4. Select Mouse
  5. Turn down Sensitivity.

I have a white macintosh g4 laptop that freezes after 15 minutes.

Open System Preferences:
Click on the Lightbulb Icon entitled "Energy Saver"

Adjust the preferences for each of the two options:
Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive for:
1min 15min 1hr 3hrs Never
Put the display to sleep when it is inactive for:
1min 15min 1hr 3hrs Never

Set these for Power Adaptor and Battery separately.
