We have a black screen with no audio. We are able to pull up the guide, but we can't watch tv or anything recorded on the DVR. How do we fix it?

My first guess would be your software version needs updated but since you cannot access recordings either, it sounds like you have a fatal internal error and your rec would need to be replaced.
