Hi, I had the same problem and after siffering from different sites I think I figured it out. If your like me you didn't receive any iformation about downloading the music when you bought the product. But let me see if I can help you. If you have windows media player 11 open it up first, then make sure your MP3 player is on off, then connect the USB plug to the computer and MP3. The letters USP should appear on you MP3 on your PC their should be a configue page appear on this page follow instructions. When you go to Media player if you have music downloaded already to your library, you can drag your music from the center page to the right side under your audio player or hit sync at the top page and scroll down to sync now player or ect. hit that it will sync your music and add it to your MP3 player. After you download your music unplug the MP3 player to play the music turn it on, then hit the play button might be once or twice, then when you get ready to turn it off make sure you hit the play/pause button once or twice until it says bye. I hope this help ya....I bought mine this morning because I'm going on a trip this weekend and was ready to take it back in the morning but I kept going through different sites to see if I could find some information. I still haven't given up on the idea of taking it back yet, according to the battery life. I hope this helped for everyone, I know this company needs to have a manual that goes to this device..

Hi, I would be very thankful if you help me. I have a brand new Mp3 Memorex 8590 and have added around 50 songs and it shows when playing one song on the display 1 of 1, and once the song is over, the...

It seems your new mp3 player memory is already full, you need to delete other files or songs before you added another. If it is not yet full, try to delete and reinstall other songs. Be sure the file songs you added has no error on it.
That the only things you will do, the mp3 player operate normally and trouble come as you add new songs, don't overload it, as it's built in memory will fail.
Thanks for asking.

The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/harrison_wmp10.mspx

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0085.mspx#EDF

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:

My Directions:

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

To copy (RIP) files from CD to Mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:
