My daughter bought back a mini amana fridge it seems too hot on the sides and its on 6 os that normal??

Sorry but I don't recognise the fridge brand. The internet suggests these are not the things called mini fridges but in reality are merely coolers so I guess it is a regular fridge designed to keep stuff between 2 and five degrees C.

Not sure what you mean by 6 os.

Conventional fridge design has a thing at the back that looks like a radiator. This condenser is prone to corrosion and is easily damaged resulting in the loss of refrigerant. Since it was decided all types of refrigerant gas is damaging to our atmosphere, manufacturers have been increasingly burying the radiator thing in the fridge casing where it is protected, often at the sides. Usually the condenser will become quite hot until the fridge interior is down to the required temperature when just maintaining the inside temperature it will vary between warm and cold if the door isn't opened much and the insulation and door seal is in good condition.

Burying the condenser(s) in the casing makes them less efficient at losing heat and so they will become hotter than the conventional old-fashioned design during the interior cooling stage..

I hope this helps and little.

My LG fridge/freezer is approximately 7 years old. It has worked fine until two weeks ago, when I noticed the fridge section wasn't very cold and the freezer only seems to be freezing items on the bottom...

Most of the components are within the fridge unlike the older models and at the bottom of the fridge. It is possible that the fault is related to a thermostat or a auto defrost timer issue.
Since the fridge is not defrosting there is heavy frost that is preventing the fan to blow cold air and cool efficiently .
You will need to check the thermostat, auto defrost timer ,heater to confirm the fault.
Finally the poor pumping of compressor or low gas pressure can also reduce cooling.
check the compressor motor speed, check the capacitor.

Our fridge Liebherr KBES 4260, Class SN-T is located in a utility room that is not as warm as the kitchen, but neither is it bitterly cold. During the very cold spell in December and in January it failed...

most modern f/f work in the temperature range +10C to 35C,so if you store it in a room below or above these temps you will incounter problems.before you buy you should check the temp range as in some countries they supply them to operate outside these parameters.i use a greenhouse heater in an outhouse to keep mine warmer than +5C,seems to work okay.

I have a Teka A-FCI340 fridge/freezer. The fridge is too cold and freezes items put into it. No matter how I turn the temperature control dial it still seems to be too cold.

I had the exact same problem with the same model and mine was just 3 years old. My problems started when I defrosted the freezer. I spent 75gbp on an engineer who told me that I had probably 'spooked' the fridge when I defrosted the freezer, that this particular model of fridge wasn't designed to last longer than 2 years.

I would recommend you check the door is shutting properly (check the screws at the top, it might be just slightly out of alignment).... I turned the whole unit off for over 2 days to allow absolutely everything to defrost (both inside and on the back of it)... within 30 minutes of turning it on, the back of my fridge was already frosted over.

Engineer told me not to waste money calling them out again, and to buy another one...

Fridge too cold.Freezer OK.

You probably have an issue with one of the following:

* temperature control assembly (controls freezer and/or fresh food temperatures)
* damper assembly (allows air from freezer to fresh food compartment)

Contact an appliance service company.

KTL15V20 fridge not maintaining cold temperature

first buy a freezer thermometer and place in centre drawer on top of food check after 24 hours to confirm 0f/ or -18c/22c sound like you dont have a problem..(air temp in freezer is sometimes warmer than food. this is what keeps the ice off the food/packaging and off the interior of the freezer.

Beko fridge freezer defrosts itself all the time

Some freezers have a defrost cycle, if you think it is doing it too often (unsure of how often your experiencing) the defrost timer may be bad but you normally do not see a defrost if it is bad......
Check to see if it is maintaining the correct temperature, if it is then it may be a normal defrost cycle.

not really sure as far a swhatconstitutes ruining along time, you are doing the right thing by keeping it clean for sure, refrigs now run for as long as they need if it never stopped running youd see hte effects of that in 2 ways, either all your food would be FROZEN solid( cause it never shuts off), or your food would be spoiling quicker hat n usual, in which case your refrig is trying to run all the time to maintain temps! the noise that you hear running might just be the evap fan motor running( circulater fan, sure its gonna run to circulate, but the compressor wont be running all the time.. check and go by your dairy products, ice cream too hard or too soft, and in refrig check the milk and butter.youll never know how cold you leftover is but youll know right away if the milk it too warm
