Ps3 hdmi to dvi on mitsubishi wd52327

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52327 with a MonLink DVI connector. I am trying to connect a PS3 using a hdmi to dvi cable. I can not get the tv to recognize the PS3. In the Input Assignment screen I have set the Monlink to Monlink and selected that input but still only get the blue screen. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same tv, mitsubishi wd-52327 and want to get a PS3. Can I connect HDMI to to my dvi? What is the correct cable? I need an HDMI to DVI for video and I will use an optical cable (already have) to my surround sound, so I just need the right HDMI to DVI, unless there is only one type. The manual says "the DVI connection is not intended for use with personal computers or devices outputting video signals with computer resolutions." Does the PS3 take care of this? Will I have problems with blue-ray or games?
I understand I wont get the 720 p or 1080p, I just dont want problems. Any advice is appreciated.

I have the same tv- mitsubishi wd 52327, I want to buy a PS3 but need to get an hDMI to DVI cable. Are there more than one type and what do I need? I have the audio hookup already )optical to my surround). The manual says "this input is not intended for use with personal computers or devices outputting video signals with computer resolutions. All other video signals, such as 720p, need to be converted by the device." Does the PS3 take care of this? I know I won't get the highest resolution (420p or 1080i max) but I just don't want problems. Thanks for any advice.

I have a mitubishi ws-55313 with a monitor link DVI connection and I have tried to convert that to hdmi for a cable DVR but it doesn't work any ideas?

The monitor link is not a standard DVI connection, it was used to connect a Mitsubishi HD set top box. You can connect your cable DVR using component video cables and get HD that way, up to 1080i but not 1080p

How do I connect my PS3 to my sanyo dp50747 in hdmi? I have everything hooked up correctly, but its not coming up on the TV. What do I do?????

If you see a no signal message, then it means that the signal output format of the PS3 does not match . It happens if you have previous used it on another tv and now connected it to a different tv. To resolve this, turn off the PS3 . Press and hold the power button on the PS3 till you hear three BEEPS. The PS3 should automatically detect the tv's resolution and the initial setup screen should appear. After that you should just follow on-screen instructions to set it up.

PS3 to Infocus LP 350 projector using HDMI

Hi,

M1-DA is a type of DVI connection that produces both analogue and digital signals, the easiest and most quality source cable for you to get is a HDMI to M1-DA cable which is now widely available for purchase.

Infocus should have included this cable in with your projector, but instead the power at bee decided to put a M1-DA to DVI-D cable instead when most visual devices now support HDMI and not DVI nowadays.

Thanks

Monlink is the Connection I used with my Directv. All you need to use is the HDMI cords. Are you trying to also connect to stereo system or something other than a straight HDMI connection from Directv Box to WD-62525

Dell w3000 & PS3

This may not be DVI issue.
I connected DVD player HDMI ----> DVI ( Dell W3000) LCD TV.
Later I found that Dell TV version of DVI does not support HDCP protocol ( High Definition Content Protection protocol). So I could not play HDMI to DVI movies from my DVD player instead I use Y Pb Pr -- this works ok.

Hope this helps... I am not use PS3 enforces HDCP - I assume Sony linked with Sony Pictures would enforce HDCP on HDMI cable.

Hdmi to dvi

a DVI Connection does not transmit sound, so you will need a seperate audio cable. Have you changed the settings in the ps3 and your tv's input to HD signal or 720 DPI, do not choose 1080i or 1080P as DVI does not support those high settings.

Mitsubishi WD 52525 & PS 3

First make sure your hdmi cable is connected from the PS3 to the TV. Then go to netcommand, review, and make sure "monlink" is checked, click next, and finish. Select "monlink" from your device manager and turn on your PS3. If the screen is blue, go to the next step. Connect the PS3 via regular a/v cables to the front panel "input-3". Create a net-command device for input-3 as well. Switch to the input-3 device you created and turn on your PS3. Choose display settings, and change the settings to HDMI. Then click change. You'll have 30 seconds to hit device manager, change the device to "monlink", and let the PS3 unit know the setting has worked. From there you can configure. Good luck!
