Remove front speaker grill---it should pull out and is secured with pegs.
Behind it you will find an inspection plate---remove the plate---notice the one or two groups of wires coming down from the front keyboard with all the controls.
Follow them to the right behind the inspection plate--you should find one or two plugs---The idea here is to disconnect the keyboard on the front of the set------You will still be able to turn the set on etc with the remote control
With the keyboard disconnected (the plugs if there are two will be different sizes with letters on them so you cannot get them back wrong) plug the set back in and wait about 2 minutes---
Turn it on then with the remote----if set works normally now with the remote one of the micro switches (vol up) on the front keyboard is bad.
You have two choices---leave the plugs undone and just use the remote OR someone has to remove the entire screen from the set and get at the keyboard(it is a small circuit board) to remove/replace whichever tiny micro switch is bad.
Let me know what happens and reply here if you need help of have a question.
