For some reason my mp3 will not turn on at all. It was working fine this morning, it wont' charge or anything. Unfortunately my warranty has expired. This is the 3rd Philips Go Gear Mp3 I have had that has frozen up like this. Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

Do a soft reset by pressing the on/off switch down and the volume + button at the same time, if that does not work try taking out the battery for the night, I just resently had the same problem and that is what I did and it has been working fine since...GL!

When you plug it into the USB port of your computer does it do anything? If it doesn't then your player is likely dead. If it does do something then it likely just needs a full recharge.
your battery has run out and needs to be charged that's why it is not turning on. connect it to a another usb port on your computer and it should be able to turn on and charge, it should work, if you still have problems, comment back.
maybe when u insert the usb in the pc u just get it with out ejecting the usb because if not it has virus maybe ur pc is not protected i encouter that problem it did not on and play...
I have no charge in my philips hdd82 player. Usually I just plug it into my computer via usb and a screen shows up on the player showing its connected and it charges. Usually it comes up as an MTP device on the computer so I can add mp3s as well. Now for no reason at all, when I plug it in, it doesn't charge and the computer doesn't recognize it. The screen shows an outlet when I plug it in so I know the cord works. It just won't let me do anything. When I press the on button with the cord unplugged, I can't do anything either b/c no charge. HELP. plz.
it could be your battery or the charger itself. you may want to try another charger for it, or get a new battery. i don't think it is a worse problelm.
