How do I use the memory stick in my computer to download photos?

Most computers have a universal card reader, your card should be a SD, Sony ProDuo, XD....etc, make sure the contacts are inserted correctly, if inserted the wrong way you can damage the computer card reader contacts or the camera card contacts. You can also insert the card and go to Computer and look for the Drive Letter for your camera card, click on that and it should open the cameras card to view the photos.

Hp Photosmart 8150 can't read sdhc memory card

Unless the SD slot is specifically designated that it can read the new SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) memory card it will not read even though it plugs intop the standard SD slot.. I checked and this printer can't read the SDHC card only the standard SD card. You can buy a SDHC USB reader on ebay for a few dollars.

My nokia e65 memory reads "no memory inserted", but i have a 2gb sd micro which was inserted by the manufacturers. However the memory chip is accessible on the computer . Kindly sort me out

Remove the memory card and check using a memory card adapter on the card reader of the laptop. If the memory works fine with a scan and shows up well on the properties the capacity of the memory. Then replace the card back into the phone using the correct direction. Some times the direction is deceiving and so it might not read. Once in position if the card is not detected, then either the slot has a fault or the motherboard interface is defective.

Micro SD Slot in My LG Rumor 2 isn't reading Micro SD Card

hello, kindly check if it is inserted properly, you will see a directive arrow on the memory card to show you how it is to be inserted,if after you have inserted it correctly and it still does not sees it,i would suggest you suspect your memory card is corrupt if their is any message displaying on your mobile phone screen, and if it does not show any message like memory card corrupted, then you will have to visit a mobile phone repair expert to help you change the memory card slot, after this your mobile phone will now read your memory card.

kindly rate this solution if it's helpful,

take care.

It seems i have lost the photos that were in tht camera. a little confused about internal memory and what that means

Some digital cameras can take pictures with out any memory card installed, some have no way to use a memory card. Most digital cameras use some kind of memory card which can be inserted in the camera's card slot. When the card is not installed, some cameras can take internally stored files, either video or picture files. In order to get those files on a card, a card must be inserted in the memory card slot then go to the menu to copy the files to the memory card.

Reads card error or turns off once i insert memory card

Hello

OK, if the memory card itself is locked, you might sometimes get this error code. All you need to do is to take out the memory card and switch the lever on the left side to the unlock.

If the error is still displayed after you did the above, you might want to try the card in another camera.

If the card works in another camera . the problem is with your card reader in your camera.

If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:

1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.

Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.

It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.

If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

Kind regards
Andrea

SD card keeps popping up when inserted in cama. SD card will not stay down in camara Says it needs to be formatted. It will not format. Never has this problem before How can I fix this

The SD slot of the camera got damage somehow. The SD slot contains thin copper prongs that locks the card in place and comes in contact with the surface of the card. If these prongs are damaged, then it cause a read failure of the camera.

Nikon D40 Memory Card Error

Hello. Make sure the write-protect switch on the SD card is in the UP (nearer to the contacts) position. Try the card in an SDHC capable reader on your computer first. Note that the SD card can only be inserted one way - make sure you're not putting it in upside-down! If the computer recognizes the presence of inserted card (whether it can read it or not), format it at FAT32. When finished, remove properly (icon in system tray) and insert into your D40 slot, WITH THE CAMERA OFF!! Turn on the D40, and if it now recognizes the SD card, FORMAT it again, in the camera. Good luck.
