iRobot Roomba Vacuuming
Robots and the iRobot Dirt Dog Workshop Robot are equipped with four
infrared Cliff Sensors that prevent robots from falling off stairs or
ledges. The Cliff Sensors are located along the inside of the bumper. If
the Sensors become obstructed by dust or debris, the infrared signal is
weakened. Regularly inspect and clean the Sensors. Use compressed air
for best cleaning results.

This is why Roomba recommends a thorough clean of your carpet with a standard vac prior to using your mini vac. Once all heavy debris has been removed, the roomba will maintain that state of clean. If you have that much dog hair, you cant expect such a small roller, brush and dustbin to keep up. sounds like you need the dirt dog instead. It is capable of handling heavier demand areas. The best thing to do would be to give us a call when you have the robot with you. That will enable us to do any necessary troubleshooting as well as set up any orders that might be necessary.
