Had our dvd quit...does not play.Can it repaired?

Did you check if the DVD disk you are trying to play is actually playable? Mabe the player can't read the disk so reboots to radio. Also, you should try with another DVD disk

If disk is ok, recheck your original setup options, but I'm quite sure that it's some electronic failure of your device. Simply should not make sense some hidden option to play radio wnen you select the DVD player.

So your final optin probably should de take your device to repair service. Look at your original warranty for nearest authorized repair service, even if warranty has expired.

If in the audio circuit of the unit it likely is too expensive to find/repair--unless it is an expensive unit it likely will be cheaper to buy a new player.

If your Xbox 360 will not play your games this is because of the sensors on the back of the drive overheating it is not normally the laser.

Luckily you can fix this yourself and get back to your games and to do this you need the proven Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Or you can send it in and they will fix it for you the repair will take about 4 weeks.

This is getting to ber quite a common error as well.

Time for a new one, costs more to repair quite often than new one

Hi, Sometimes these problem arises if any virus attacks your system, so first make your system virus free. And if its not the problem then your lense in the dvd drive is not working properly, its better to make repair it so that it works properly.

sounds like bad pick-up unit (optical eye). these will heat up and reduce the fm envelope signal causing the optical eye to not read disc info. not worth repair. (it may could use cleaning, but usually a dirty eye will effect the movies from the beginning not after warm-up. mch

your cd drive lens may be damage and lens preset will be not currect position so if you want to repair you cd drive then you have to turn your cd drive lens preset to currect position. 

The entire tray needs to be replaced.

clean the laser lens as they could be dirty,if that does not work take it to a tech for a check and repair.lens might need to be replaced.
