Question about Samsung SCH-u340 Cellular Phone
I got a verizon samsung U340 snap phone for Christmas and I have been trying to activate it all day. Every time I dial *228 it waits for like 3 minutes and then beeps and says programming unsuccessfull......can someone help me activate my phone pahhhleeez. ...thnx in advance

Well first if all, (correct me if i'm wrong) you cannot dial *228 because you're only supposed to use that for updating your phone AFTER you have activated it, I activated mine online. You should try that.

Send complaint to your state's consumer affairs. The first time I had this problem, I brought it to Verizon to get it repaired. I was told that it was a common problem, but that they could not fix it. I fought with Verizon and finally received a replacement. This time, I do not have the energy to fight again. I am going to complain to either my state's consumer affairs or attorney general.
