Re: password help

Try this:

You are happy if the administrator has no password.

If you see joan as username and your need to supply the password on it.

Simultaneously press: Ctrl+Alt+DElete (2X)
Your prompted to supply username: Just type: administrator
leave password blank and then "enter"

hope your in.. If not then you should ask password to joan. or reinstall new windows.

C Drive Access

This is one of those things where Mac and Linux has Windoze over a barrel. I understand Vista may have the capability, but it's complicated to use.
With XP and earlier releases, each user has access to only their own desktop for personal stuff. You can set up a different username and password for each user. But this will not keep anyone from accessing the C:/ and or installing anything. Additionally, you may find some help using some firewall or other protection utilities found in your anti-virus software. That may at least protect your system files, and you can also set some restore points with which to rescue the system when it gets corrupted.

Good luck.

Copy windows vista from my laptop to my acer pc

you can not just copy vista. you would need to get an install cd of vista and install it onto the pc. this still may not fix your internet problem as there is no guarantee that vista will even have the drivers for your pc components.

Previous user apparently password protected Windows.

Well first off you can use the restore feature and it will only reinstall crucial windows files it won't mess with software that was already installed.

There are password recovery programs out there you would have to search for one and install the program onto a disc and boot of it (just follow the instructions)

Need password help for Aspire L100 with Windows Vista

Hello Freddy!

this is only a try. Switch on your system and then if your system prompted to supply password in any username thereto. just leave that instead. simultaneously press " Ctrl + Alt+ Delete" two times. Your prompted to supply " Username" and "Password":

On Username: type " administrator" all lower case
On Password: leave it blank.
and then click OK. may this solve.

If this not work then sorry i have to go on research about that.
