Audio on zumo 450

To play audio first copy some music in MP3 format to a SD card. Put the card in the unit then plug the unit into your PC. It will act as a new hard drive so just access it through "My Computer". Drag and drop the music onto the memory card drive.

Once done unplug your unit from the computer. In the GPS unit go to the music player in Tools and select a song to play. The unit does not have bluetooth or speakers so you will need to put it in the bike mount and plug in a headset. I hope this helps you.

I am sure Garmin can help you if you give them a call. They have excellent support for their products. 1-800-800-1020

The owners manual is on the disk. Here is a link to the owners manual, it may be easier for you just to download it.

I`d like to use the mp3 on my GPS but don`t know how to put music or pics on

You need a standard SD digital memory card (not the newer HC high capacity cards as Magellan does not guarantee compatibility although I did get one to work that was a micro SD card with the full SD adapter). You will need to put your mp3 music files from your PC onto the SD card just as you would your mp3 player; insert the SD card into an SD slot on your computer, laptop or USB adapter and copy the files to the card. After files are saved, put the card into the slot on the right side of the Maestro and then refer to the User Manual ( page 64 to see how to play the music. You can play through radio speakers or by using headphones/ear buds with a USB connector.

Garmin nuvi 760, don't seem to be able to load music onto it

I have a 660, and it works fine from the sd card. Make sure the files are .mp3 and that you toggle the source from the mp3 player screen. Can you see the files in browse mode ?

Music on an 8GB SDHC card not showing up on Zumo 450

More than likely your Zumo will not recognize cards larger than 2 gb. This is not a problem with your device. They are not designed to use larger cards.

Dont know how to download

Take the SD card out and put a different one in with mp3 music files on it and you can use it as a mp3 player. DO NOT use the original SD card as you will delete the data that is necessary to use it as a GPS. I don't understand why anyone would want to use this as a mp3 player. Sound quality is terrible.

Do not use any of the supplied pc software on your mac.  Plug the player into your mac using the usb cable supplied.  It should appear on your desktop.  If it doesn't it's the player itself.  If it appears just drag the songs from your music folder onto the mp3 player.  I've had this same problem.  My daughters each received one for christmas.  One worked and one didn't.

How to put music on my tom tom go 730 Can't figure out how to put music on my Garmin Nuvi GPS 650

It should work the way other Garmin units work. Plug the unit into the computer via the USB cable. The computer should recognize the unit as a mass storage device. Click on the Garmin (it should be shown under your storage devices) and you should see a folder marked MP3. Drag and drop the music files you want into this folder, then disconnect the unit (safely, of course). That should do it.

The manual is helpful isn't it?

Your music and pictures need to be installed onto a SD memory card. Take an empty card and copy the MP3 or pictures onto the card. Install the card into the GPS. Use the correct player (for pics or MP3) and see if it detects the music on the memory card.

It seems like it works the same way if you were to put music or photos onto a Palm. It may need a special folder on the card to read the photos or MP3s. I would put it into the GPS first, let the GPS format it, and see if it creates folders for them.

How do you get SD cards to play ???

Are the songs in MP3 format? Typically you connect the GPS to the PC using the USB interface and using Windows Explorer, drag & drop the MP3 files into the GPS's MP3 subdirectory.

Then on the main screen, select travel tools and then the MP3 player. Select browse and choose a song.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

I just read on the Garmin website that only regular MP3 files will work -- not books or music purchased through iTunes.
