Kenmore coldspot freezer door water line

We were given a kenmore coldspot 106.9505782 with the doors detached. It has a water spicket outside the freezer door with the water line coming up through the freezer door pivot that has been cut at an angle or disconnected. How do I attach this line and hang the door? Thanks

Re: kenmore coldspot freezer door water line

I had the same problem and I would like to replace the whole line inside the door, it was best to get a double sided connector from an appliance parts store. The part cost me about 7 bucks. I then had to So far so good and when cut a small piece out of the front guard where the connector goes. you take off the front guard, measure where the tube broke. The connector comes off when you push one side down.Cut the edge of tube to have a straight edge, but just a little at a time. Just a clean straight edge, it does not have to be perfect!! I used a small pair of needle nose pliers to pull the bit of hose down from the freezer side and then i used my connectors. It just takes a little time and effort. Let me know what happens!!

Kenmore, coldspot, model # 10650564991, side by side. The problem: spicket broke off of the water station on the door. My repairman/parts person says the part is $50.00! According to him/her, the etire...

The Technician was right. The part only comes as an assembly. See this link: (Item 10)

Detailed view:

The only thing I can recommend that you can do possibly save yourself some money is go to any local appliance repair shop an see if they are parting out a refrigerator. There is yet one other option and that is to call a local refrigerator recylcling place and see if you can obtain the fitting there.

Other than that the service person is going to order the NEW part thatis $55.74 + shipping from Sears.
The current available part number is: 4388152 and is called Nozzle Tube Kit.
This is the best I can do for you.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I know this is strange but here goes. I have a Kenmore Coldspot side by side Refrigerator. This past summer, it was leaking water out the front freezer door. We turned off the water and called a repair...

Turn off the fridge. Remove the freezer bins in the bottom. Defrost the drain line with a hair dryer. It is on the lower back portion of the freezer. Break up the ice on the freezer floor and dispose of it.
Discard any old freezer food. Change out the water supply line with a copper line if you are using a plastic line.
