Question about Sakar Crayola EZ Grip Digital Camera

Cant get the pics off the camera with provided software....

I have done everything it asks. It said that it was installed sussessfully, then when I brought the program up and clicked the red download button, nothing cept an error message thjat says to check the troubleshooting section in the manual. That section pretty much tells you to check out this website www.sakarhelp.com, which has provided no help at all for me. It told me to uninstall, and reinstall, which I did with the exact same results. Please help!!! My kids are so upset!!

    I had the same problem today until I kept trying things when I went to my start up window and clicked on control panel then in the control panel I clicked on printers and hardware and off to the left side under "see also" there is "Add Hardware" click on it and it will help you.

    Like others with the same problem, I have installed and uninstalled, notified sakar with no response back. Just the same warning message of a connection error and an upset daughter whose birthday gift refuses to work.

I got it to work in windows xp by renaming the DCIM folder on the removable disk that is created for the camera in windows. Then unplugged the camera and powered the camera on. The camera then created a new DCIM folder that the pictures where in. I plugged the USB cord in and windows found the camera. I was able to import the pictures.

I am also having the same problem with my son's camera. I did try the PCCam application and it works just fine, which means that the pc and camera are obviously communicating. I did email Sakar just now as I'm about fed up with this thing. I will keep you posted if I get any response form them that is useful.

I have the same problem. I install the software successfully, but when I try to download the pictures I get a message indicating that the there is a problem with the connection and I should check the troubleshooting section of the manual. The manual offers no solution, but I have uninstalled and installed several times. And in addition, I have used two different USB ports on the Tower. Can someone help....my son is pretty upset.

I had the same problem. I downloaded the driver from sakar.com and now it works like a dream! Hope this helps.

I connect the cable from camera to computer but the computer cant detect the camera. how?


It could be that the cable is faulty, because even if you do not have the drivers installed, it should recognize as a new HW device and ask for installation drivers. (But, each camera has two modes. one to take pics in and the other to view pics in.) Alternatively, you must have the camera in the second mode.

I cant upload my pics because my laptop read the device software.


You must have been supplied the necessary software along with the camera. You need to install the soft ware before your pc can recognize that u have connected this camera.

Cant find cd to download pics from camera to computer


Look on line for the software and download it. They may need the serial number to your camera. I have done this successfully with my Nikon Coolpix.

How do I download pics from camera to computer


Two options: -

1. Install the software from the Canon CD and use the USB cable that came with the camera.

2. Take the CF card from the camera and plug it into any USB card reader with a CF/Microdrive slot.

Download images to pc from digital camera


Install the software that came on the CD with your new camera. There should be a photo management software that will help you do this. Or you can download it from here:

8. You're done :)

Having trouble with pixels, we have a nikon coolpix 1, intrying to down load the picture to our new wed site , it asks to have no more than 600 pixels, con this be done on the camera, or is it to be done...


if taking pics for a web site you want the camera at the lowest reolution possible-1-2 mexapixels to keep file small and easy to view on web-if you took pic already at higher quality only software can downsize and compress pics-600 x 480 pixels is about 1 megapixel

you don't need any drivers for this camera
if you have windows xp,it should just work
I just got me .the same type of camera ,got it as a gift
came home.plugged it and my windows XP recognized it right away
it install the drivers right there and then,everything was done automatically
try and go to "system device" and see if there is any yellow mark on the usb area
if there is one, then do a driver update.
