Mp3 player will not PLAY ALL from any track other than the first

When I try to play all my mp3 tracks from anywhere except the first track, only one track will play-then it shuts down. This does not appear to be the functionality described in the users guide, which implies the mp3 player will cycle through all the tracks from whichever starting point you select.

Will my garmin play music?

Yes, if it has a media player. The 660 will. It will play MP3's but you have to load the MP3's onto the GPS using a USB cable between the GPS and your PC.

Garmin etrex ledgend c: When track log is turned on, "breadcrumbs" mark the path I've traveled. I don't save the track but the breadcrumbs remain on the unit's map....forever.

Check both your track and map settings. Make sure that "show track on map" is not selected in your map settings, and in your track settings try erasing all previous tracks.

Hope this helps!

Will my itunes music library play on my Garmin nuvi 760? I dragged and downloaded my itunes music library onto my nuvi 760. When I hooked it up this morning to use it in my car it kept saying it was...

Your Garmin only supports MP3 files and iTunes is all MP4. The Best way to convert them is with "Real Player sp" Which is probably on your computer already or downlaod it for free. Open the music library and right click on the centre. There you will see "Converter" Select convert to MP3. Don't open iTunes. Instead go through; Start, my music, iTunes, library. This way you can drag a whole album into the converter. Plug your Garmin in with the USB cable and go through; Start, my computer, storage device H. At the bottom of the converter you can select where to send the converted files. Select the device H. Now press start and let it do it's thing. When it's finished you can see the old files in MP4 format with the new files in MP3 format listed under. Drag and drop is only a copy. You can delete all these files after to keep it tidy. All the original stuff is still safe and you Garmin should now have music on it. Try it with a small tune first to test. Best of luck. Regards Chris4fingers

Problem with MP3 player-Stops after one song

On closer look (after my long road trip to test this out), I realize when you hit Browse, there's a button on the bottom titled Play All. If you select this button, the buttons mentioned above work as intended, and the Forward, Backward buttons bring you to the next or previous songs in the list.

Navagon 5100

Hello 1234567i,

Most GPS receivers are not designed to be used for tracking. The GPS receives signals from Global Positioning Satellites and then uses those signals to calculate its current location, which it displays on the screen. However that data is not normally sent anywhere externally so there is no way for a remote user to determine where the GPS is.. Thus you cannot use a computer or any other device to track the GPS.

The Navigon 5100 appears to be no exception.

Without pairing the GPS with an external communications device (cell phone, two-way radio, laptop with a WiFi connection, etc.) the GPS lacks the ability to transmit its location reports to any external source. There certainly are ways that a GPS can be used with an external communications device as a tracker, but most GPS receivers do not have this capability out of the box.

Can a car gps system be tracked by its location ( a single unit) if it was stolen and then used by the suspect?

Hello bulldog6895,

No, you cannot typically track most GPS devices. A GPS receives signals from orbiting Global Positioning Satellites and then uses the information from those signals to calculate its position on the earth. That information is reports on the screen of the GPS but that's it. The information isn't sent anywhere and can't be received by outside devices.

There are tracking devices that use a GPS receiver combined with a radio transmitter or cellular phone transmit to send the location reports in a way that can be received by outside parties, which enables tracking. However, most GPS units do not have this capability.

How do you get SD cards to play ???

Are the songs in MP3 format? Typically you connect the GPS to the PC using the USB interface and using Windows Explorer, drag & drop the MP3 files into the GPS's MP3 subdirectory.

Then on the main screen, select travel tools and then the MP3 player. Select browse and choose a song.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!
