- This machine was refurbished, and if it wasn't refurbished with a exact chip set it won't work right.
To solve your problem, I need to know what copy of OS do you have?
Recovery disks are a must have for your system do you have recovery disks?
Go here and you should be able to buy some
relatively cheap if you don't have them but first, I need to know if the OS?

What audio driver does it say it you have?
If you are connected to the internet you can try updating the audio drivers by going to control panel-system-hardware-device driver-Sound and Video and game controller- Intel Audio Controller or some audio component like that. If there is one then go to action-update driver and right click. It should say install automatically and select next and just follow installation. You can also try updating all your other audio devices too because, you can
always go back to the
original driver if needed..
