Re: XRock Band Mic problems

You need to plug a controller in and use the buttons on it to select the player for the Mic.

Can't turn on my tablet

Sophia, Hi.
Can you locate a reset button on the tablet? It should be a pinhole on one of the side edges. It's about the size of a pinhead. Make sure you know where the microphone is before going further. The mic is a hole similar to our reset . To reset the tablet, Get a small paper clip and straighten one end of it. Insert it in the hole and with easy pressure push or press in until you feel a click on the paper clip. It does not take much so don'tforce it. After the click , turn it on and see what happens. You might damage the mic if you haven't made sure. The tablet may be marked near the holes "Mic" and "Reset"Good lucj Sophia. -Ned_

Hi we have a second hand Britax rock a tot car seat, can you please advise the age group of the infant to be able to use this car seat?

it does not go by age, it is based on height and weight.
Rock A Tot is not a recognized name on their website of current or retired models.

It is a model from the UK-
Weight/Size Suitability
------------------------- The Rock-a-Tot is a group 0 car seat, suitable from birth up to 13kgs (around 9-12 months). It uses a three point harness. For a newborn this seat is lovely, the head hugger makes the seat very snug and secure around their head. However I did find that as my baby got older the head hugger seemed too confining and we removed it when he was about 4 months old.
The shoulder straps can be adjusted to 3 or 4 height settings allowing a good fitting as you baby grows.

Although this seat is designed to go up to 13kgs I think that most people chose to move their baby out of this seat when he/ she reaches 9kgs and put baby into to a forward facing seat. Adrian was a large baby to start with (9lb 9oz) and also long. By the time he had reached 9kg's (around 7-8 months) his legs had to be bent slightly with his feet touching the back seat which we didn't think would be very safe in an accident (as surely more pressure would be placed on his legs if the car seat moved towards the fixed seat)and he was getting rather squashed in to the seat.

Car Seat compatibility

I assume that you mean a car seat suitable for 1 to 4 years?
Unfortunately, due to so many different specifications of makes/models of cars, this is something which can't be simply guessed at. During my time of carseat fitting, I did find that BMW were probably the most reliable and best fits (Golf and Audi also very good). I would suggest that you opt for something isofix (Maxi Cosi Priori Fix/Britax Duo Plus etc) BUT and this is the main thing, go and get it phyically fitted at a well established car seat dealer.

I hope this helps.

Infant car seat

Although I do not know this seat, if it is a UK model you should have blue stickers located where the belt will go. Typically the European seats do fit as you suggest, lap belt over the childs legs (pull firm at that point) then the should belt over and behind babys head (pull firm again at that point). Bear in mind that the seat does not have to be rock solid, but the weight of baby will make this feel more secure and remember that if there should be any kind of impact, the seat belt is designed to lock off, hence how this works.

I hope this helps.

Futher query about your solution ....

You will need a wireless router. People have different preferences towards these units I prefer netgear. They are cheap, reliable nary a problem.

You connect the broad band modem to the uplink or internet slot.
But first, connect your pc or laptop directly into 1 of the 4 ports on the router before connecting the router to the internet.

open your browser, IE/Mozilla, whatever you are using. if the router log in screen does not appear (which it should by default)
type in the ip address of the router where normally you would type in the web address ( netgear uses, username Administrator, password is password.

from here you can plug in the uplink to the modem and let the configuration utility configure your internet settings.

A unit like this is what I have, link, however the router is what you need for your home wireless. I live in a small town in upstate NY and where I am there are 5 homes nearby I can connect to wirelessly. I didn't have to purchase my own router.

I purchased mine for 29.95 USD last year.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I don't think anyone can help you except the manufacturer. This is an unaccceptable problem. Those straps should withstand nearly anything except deliberate cutting. Contact the manufacturer and talk to a service rep about your problems. A little bit of anger and some threats of lawsuit or media coverage should get you some help, or at least a new seat.
