hi guys Merry Christmas,
I have a Panasonic NV-DS60B when I try to record the icon for a tape with a for a back slash through it appears witha double continuious bleep. I have tried a different tape, I have checked to make sure the save tape on the actual tape is at the correct position and recharged the battery. Any help would be most appreciated.

The fix is really easy and costs nothing, just 10 minutes of your time!
*I fixed mine (twice) this way*
Turn the cam over.
remove all the screws holding the dark plastic bottom on the camcorder, remove it carefully.
Now you will see the ribbon cables, VERY GENTLY, wiggle them from left to right (about 1mm each way), then push them in.
Test by putting your battery back on and see if it holds a tape, or plays without blinking and switching off - you will be happy.
The fault is simply that one cable (I can't tell you which one) becomes loose over time, so it just needs to be pushed back in and the condensation error and/or the door closing problem go away!
A lot of folks are buying cams off eBay like this as it's such a simple repair!
Good luck - please help others - post back if it works!
