Good day sir/maam, hi, if your motherboard wont turn on, you need to make sure that these 5 things are in good order. (By the way, disconnect everything except these listed 5.)
- (PC is on) Your power supply, make sure that the exhaust fan is spinning as you turn it on.
- (PC is off) Your memory module, (ddr1 or ddr2) clean the contacts using an eraser(pencil) the gold plate contacts and a clean brush your motherboard memory slot.
- connect the casing's pc speaker on the motherboard.
- connect a video card, make sure its good. If you are using the motherboard's VGA, dont connect a video card. Temporarily reset the CMOS, use or locate cmos battery jumper setting. usually its 1&2 set the jumper to 2&3, then back to 1&2. connect a good monitor.
- Connect a keyboard.
Now power on your PC, check your Keyboard, you should see two sets of lights: first set (NUM LOCK + CAPS LOCK + SCROLL LOCK) then a few seconds the second set (NUM LOCK only). at this point you should hear a beep from the PC speaker.
If not, you may hear 1 long and 3 short beeps. bad video card. OR continous beeps, bad motherboard.
If you did not hear anything, do it all over again several times.
Still not working? replace your motherboard, its bad.
hope this helps.
