i push play and it says "playback prohibited at this point" and it won't play

- i put in other dvds and they work fine, its just this one dvd that won't work i was watching it before and then i pushed stop. i pushed play and it doesnt work anymore

Try running a laser disc cleaner through the player. You could have dust on on your last lens. If that doesn't do it, go to your owners manual and make certain that your ratings are not set to high.
