i sometimes have a similar problem in that film (and therefore the battery) is in and has been working fine - i have not completed my 10 pictures but the camera will not atke any more photos - as if at end of 10 photos.

when i replace the roll - there are 4 or 5 unused pictures. but camera will not respond to show that it is in use.

works fine when new film is put in.

    (sorry if didnt explain well)

I have the exact same problem. I loaded a new pack of film, and my camera still refuses to power up.

SOURCE: I got a Polaroid OneStep 600 Flash Close-Up, it

Polaroid Stopped making the film about 2 years ago. You can still find some film out of New York and Amazon, some reviews are good, some are saying the filme is not good or out of date. Find a reputable dealer. New polaoid or a new "polaroid" product may be coming out sometime soon, see http://www.the-impossible-project.com/

Camera will not turn on when film is loaded

What is the film expiration date? This camera uses film with a battery built into the film pack, there are two metal contacts on the film pack, use a multimeter to check for current, the film has not been made for years now, battery may be dead.

I have one last picture (film) left in my Polaroid and every time i close the bottom compartment it just ejects without letting me take the picture.

First of all you can't use that film anymore. If it gets ejected, it gets exposed to light which causes the film to develop. Also the film was already exposed when you didn't load it in the camera yet. When you buy a new cassette (that's the film holder) there's a darkslide on top. This darkslide prevents light to get to the film. When you load your camera, the darkslide ejects immediately. That is what happens to your last film. The camera recognizes it as a new cassette and ejects the darkslide, but in this case it's the film.

My daughter bought a Polaroid One Step camera at a yard sale, but the battery is dead. Is there a way to change the battery?

Polaroid OneStep cameras have the battery built-in to the film back. If you are using Polaroid 600 film, simply change the film cartridge.

How old is the film in camera & when did you put in the film?

Polaroid's battery is built in with the film package.
If the package is old or been in the camera for a long time battery may be low or dead.

Try changing film out.

Good Luck! Hope this helped. Please rate.

POLAROID ONE STEP EXPRESS INSTANT CAMERA

there is no battery in the camera. the battery comes from the film. the film has a battery in it already. you MUST have film in the camera for the light to go on and the flash to go off. all polaroid camera's are the same. you must have the film in the camera for it to work.
