Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,

Polaroid went bankrupt, but you can still buy the mainboard assembly.
It costs about $200- $400 search on ebay or google using the part number on the main section in the middle rear or set.
It is held in with three screws.

Buzzing tv after power surge

Get the estimate. When your insurance company sees it, believe me, they won't buck at replacing your TV _especially since the prices of TV's have come down over the years while the quality and resolution has skyrocketed. . .

I HAVE A SVA 37in HD VR3718W tv, that just went out. we were watching it and all of a sudden it just went black like someone turned it off but you could still hear the sound..what do i need to fix it and...

Without testing the tv all i can say is that, from your description, it can be only the T-con board or the ballast for the backlighting. Take a flashlight and point it at the screen from up close - if you see the image there it's the ballast, if you don't the t-con.
These are the boards

Phillips 37pf7320a 37in.hdtv-ready lcd

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif
And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.

37 in LCD TV

Make sure you aren't in component mode and hagve plugged in and RCA cable(Yellow, Red, and White) look back behind the TV and unplug your cables and reconnect them into the Yellow Red and White ports. Then change the TV input to Composite(Press Source until it says comopsite on the top right). That should fix your problem.
