If you arent already using a hdmi cord try using that. Sometimes the av cords dont work properly. Restart everything and rescan all the channels also. This can also lead to the problem. Or if the channels that arent working are 55 or 5 It is probably your connection in your area try rejiging your aerial cord
change the input, i have the same configuration ps3 and 52 inch rca, just plug it into front and change the input to front, if that dont work try this, since your ps3 probably came off a tv that had hdmi you need to hold down the ps3 button for 9 seconds and it will ask you if you want to change it to lower settings, but first make sure you have the input right
Reset the video settings by turning on the ps with only the power cable plugged in, when turning on continue to hold the power button until you hear a second set of beeps then turn off the console.
Boot up the ps and plug in your av/hdmi cable and you should have picture and sound.
Hi, right now as your plugging it in via the aerial socket then this means you wont be using any of the input channels or source channels such as av ok.
now what you can try is when its plugged in and switched on go through the channels on the telly using the telly remote try channels you dont use such as 0 6 7 8 9 10 if after trying these you still have no picture then you need to put the telly on a channel you dont use say 0 then make sure ps is switched on with a game in then on telly remote choose menu or setup then you need to use the tv setup function to search the frequency as if you are tuning a channel in so do this till you see the game then store it onto that channel, now when ever you want to play the ps you just plug it in and put it on the channel you tuned in.
or an easier option would be to go to the well known auction site and buy a ps1 scart lead then when you plug this into your telly you just choose av1 or av2 and then you can play it without tuning the channel in so this owuld be the easiest way

The tv shop will cost u $300 parts and labors.
try plugging it in with another cable (if ur using av try hdmi or other way round) if it works you can change it to work with the lead you want under picture or screen settings*

I had a similar problem with my Panasonic Viera 46 " 80U. I believe it was caused by HDMI ideoscyracies. When I turned off TV before shutting down the HDMI connected with my computer. It froze up. I could not get the TV to reboot, even if I pulled the plug, until I reconnected the HDMI to my computer and when I shut the computer down properly, something in the HDMI communicated to and released the TV from the freeze. At least that seemed to be the answer.
Let me know if this makes sense or if anyone experienced something similar.
it sounds like your wires arent connected properly. are you sure the boots are properly seated? if this isnt it, check the gap. also, see if you can tell which cylinder is mis firing, it will make it easier, that way you dont have to check all plugs and boots.
