I put in a freshly charged battery and go shoot a youth football game. After a series of shots, my battery is "dead". I turn the camera off and then back on and can get a few more shots before it goes dead again. I have bought brand new batteries (I now have 3) and the problem occurs with each one. Any suggestions?
How about cleaning the battery contacts in the camera with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol? It also wouldn't hurt to visit the support section of the Nikon website to see if they've posted any firmware updates.
