Logitech no longer carries any information On the Z-2200 speaker systems other than a somewhat useless pdf. file that covers the most basic info. I personally spent a week and a half trying to get one simple answer from them, which was as follows. " Where or how can I get a replacement potentiometer for the volume control on my Z-2200 Speakers, or can I simply buy an entire volume control unit from Logitech ". After going through 3 different support rep's they could not help me get an answer. I finally gave up on them and sent them an email stating how incompetent their support staff was. I have owned my speakers since 2004 or 05 but they still sound and look great. I used contact cleaner / lubricant for roughly 5 or 6 years, but now the pot has simply had 1 to many turns. I would enjoy nothing more than to post my emails with their staff. Only then would one realize what a bunch of Bozo's they have floating around in that company..

Make sure it is plugged in and the volume is up. Also make sure you don't have your sound muted. Do any sounds come out of your computer? Go to the control panel and click sounds and do a test.

I just got my system today. All the speakers are working, except the sub-woofer. Any ideas what could be wrong (if not DoA)?

Did you connect power to the sub-woofer? Most subs have their own amplifier. Just check if there is also an on / off switch on the sub.

Sub woofer is not working. it has orange flashing light at the back

Look at the connection of the sub woofer. The orange light indicates either there is some problem with the wire or the connector at the end of the wire.

Also make sure the pin or hole where you insert the sub woofer is working perfectly. You can simply check it by placing another sub woofer at that vary spot and see if it is working fine. If the hole is fine then the problem is either with your cord or your wire pin.

Do i have to have the sub-woofer in order for my logitech X-230 speakers to work with my computer?

Certainly any large speaker itself cant be used with
very weak computer out signal
The signal should have power amplification in addition to
voltage amplification to energise large speakers

Only have the sub itself, Can I still use it and if so how?

Unfortunately you will not be able to use the sub-woofer by itself because the input for the Logitech X-530 has a special cable to connect to the sub-woofer. You could always try looking on eBay or Craigslist for replacement parts.

Power sub woofer is not working on my pioneer vsx-81txv everything is working all the speakers except the power sub connection at the back all i can hear is the hissing sound when i try to connect the sub...

Hissing? How loud? A sub isn't even capable of making high frequency sounds at normal volumes.

The Pioneer manual would tell you how to enable and test the subwoofer output.

No sound out of woofer

Hello sparkie102
Happy Holidays
you have to check if all the cables are well connected, and in the right inputs. 2) check your software for sound that is enable, fine.
turn up the sub volume , if got it independent.
other that this, is a failure sub. if got warranty, use it! or RMS your sub.
