I had been having the same problem with my Garmin c340 saying I was in Kansas. I went outside and tried it and still nothing. Last night I drove around the block and it still said I was in Kansas. Well today I plugged it into the cigarette lighter and went for a drive. It took about 2 miles before it finally found a satellite. I kept entering my home address while I was driving. Finally, it works and there is no place like home!! Thanks Christine.

I got stuck in Kansas also. But, now I'm not in Kansas anymore! Are you trying to set your Garmin up indoors? That was my first problem. Go outdoors and try it. I did that and Toto and I were still in Kansas. SO, I pluged it inot my cigarette lighter and drove down my driveway. It took a few minutes for Garmin to locate a satalite, but once it did I was all set. No problems since, hope it works for you. I really enjoy using my Garmin. I'm one who ofter ends up on the road less traveled so, Garmin has come to my rescue a few times already. Have fun and say hello to the Wizard of Oz for me!

I tried the reset address over and over to no avail. Finally after it was completely charged, I set it by a window and left in turned on with the finding satellite or whatever it said on it, and went to bed. By the next morning it knew where I was. Give it a try and good luck.

Bought a c340 for elderly parents. Chose the model due to proclaimed ease of use. We're still stuck in Kansas, but will try your recommendations. Once the unit is fully charged and finds a satellite connection, is it good to go, or will it need similar maintenance on an ongoing basis?
