Sounds the The F lock is on when your computers starts up, You should see a number or F lock on top or your key board just press that button to disable and let you f keys work again, It must be on in your bios if some one there is computer savoy enough to go into your bios and change the setting so when you boot up next time that won't happen anymore, Ok if thats don't work just write back here and we will try another easy task, Let me Know. We try to keep it a simple as possible, Ok Thanks so much and Happy New Year

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

KEY PAD IS NOT WORKIG

you can try doing this: hold the "Fn" key and then press the different-color-numpad-enabling key (generally one of the function keys). now be warned that most of the laptops use a compact keyboard integrated with the numpad, so if you activate this function, some of your character keys will be turned into numpad-disposition keys. mostly the keys "u", "j" and "m" are changed repesctively into "4", "1" and "0".

IMac keyboard volume control keys

Do the volume keys still work when you are booted in to OS X?
Also, try reinstalling the Bootcamp drivers that will appear when you insert an OS X disk when it's booted in to Windows.

Ican"t type numbers can you please help

From Dell user manual:
The numeric keypad functions like the numeric keypad on an external keyboard. Each key on the keypad has multiple functions. The keypad numbers and symbols are marked in blue on the right of the keypad keys. To type a number or symbol, press <Fn> and the desired key after enabling the keypad.
  • To enable the keypad, press <Num Lk>. The keyboar2.jpg light indicates that the keypad is active.

  • To disable the keypad, press <Num Lk> again.

No input signal form a laptop to a projector

Hi jkoceng,

What type of interface cable are you using to connect to the projector? 15-pin VGA? S-video?

Generally on laptops if you look at the keyboard on the function keys (F1, F2, etc.) you'll see little icons such as adjustment of volume, brightness, etc. Look for one that looks like a monitor or screen. Usually this is on the F5 or F6 key. If the icon is blue, look for the corresponding key on the keyboard (Fn key, CTRL, Alt, etc.) and then hold that when connected to the projector while you press the appropriate function key. This should alleviate your problem.

Of course, you'll also want to be certain that you're using the correct input function on the projector.
