Remove the panel at the lower rear of the machine you will then see the motor there are two 13mm head bolts remove both of these, hold the motor and push it toward the front of the machine this will disengage it and it can then be lowered and removed from the rear of the machine remembering to disconnect the white multiconnector and the earth wire. Job done refitting is the reverse of removal.

Hotpoint aquarius washing machine is not releasing conditioner from drawer

this is an easy one for me as this was happening with my same machine it was under a 5 year guarantee and i got a professional hot point approved repairer out he didn't even take his tool box out as this is an easy repair and a consistent bung up area
remove detergent drawer look up on at top of drawer holder and you see a small hole see picture (if i can upload picture) unbend a paper clip and push up hole removing the gummed up fabric conditioner while your in there spray tunnel with bleach and scrub with hand brush to remove black gunk from tunnel and flush
put draw back and should take fabric conditioner as normal as you have freed pipe were water is injected to flush out fabric conditioner

Where can i find the filter on a hot point aquarius powerstream WMA52

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
IHere are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hotpoint Aquarius wms38 1200spin Machine fills with water after wash cycle is finished and it is turned off

If the water is coming in after cycle has finished, then it is 1 of 2 possibilities.
1- A faulty inlet valve, replace it.
2-Water is syphoning back from the sink if it is connected to the sink waste outlet pipe, raise washer outlet hose higher up to solve problem

Granddaughter just bought second hand hotpoint aquarius extra wms38 1200 spin .fixed it all up water coming through the ppipes but not in to the machene not filling up or doing anythging any advice please

Soumds like the water inlet valve is not working. You will have to remove the top of the casing and replace thr inlet valve. If the valve is ok then the trouble will be at the programmer. Usually it is the inlet valve.

Washer will not spin

normally i would suggest changing motor carbons for hotpoint washers, but my experience is that the WMA motor armature is weaker than the carbons, normally if there is no connection fault a replacement motor is the answer 9 times out of 10, not a job for the amature

Washing Machine 1200 Aquarius- Hot point- will not spin?

hotpoint use two types of brush depending on the motor. if motor mounted at top of machine, brushesw are clip in and very easy to replace. look at new brush and you will see how it clips in. no need to remove motor. if motor at base of machine, brushes are screwed in with two screws per brush. rather fiddly to do in situ and you may be better of removing motor and doing job in an easy position
