How do i charge up tthe kiddizoom camera for my daughter ?? it came with a usb lead that links up to computer and one other lead to connect up to television

The Kidizoom uses four standard AA batteries. You may use disposable alkalines or rechargeables. If you choose to use rechargeables, you much charge them using a separate charger. The Kidizoom is not a battery charger.

Why does my camera feel hot and says batteries are too low to take pictures (when I put brand new batteries in the camera).

Are these rechargeable batteries or disposable?

The following link describes how to choose the right AA battery for your HP Camera.

Also this is the reason why your batteries say you are low (link is to the HP support page)

The battery gauge predicts the remaining battery life, based on the current rate of use. Since digital camera operations such as focusing and using the strobe use battery power at different rates, the battery gauge may seem inaccurate until it adjusts to the new rate of power use. In addition, after changing settings or replacing the batteries, sometimes the camera takes a few minutes to determine how much charge is remaining in a battery. During that time, the battery gauge may not be accurate."

Fujifilm battery fully charged but camera says no charge or very little. Just bought a new Duracell Battery and Charger for my Fuji FinePix J10 Camera. Used the charge on the battery in the camera from...

Well you mentioned that it worked fine yesterday with the battery out of the box. That should tell you that the camera and the battery are both fine. The issue is likely the charger itself. Try recharging it again, and double check that you inserted the batteries correctly, and that any switches (such as for 2 or 4 battery charge) are set in the correct position on the charger. If this doesn't work, take the charger back to the store for exchange/refund as defective.

My camera won't turn is brand new

Brand new as in you just opened it out of the box? If thats the case you have to charge the re-chargeable battery first, then put it in the camera and it should work fine. Try giving the battery a charge first if you haven't already.

Nikon D3100 brand new. I put the battery in for the first time and it is telling the "This battery cannot be used. Choose battery for designated use in this camera" However this is the battery I got with...

The fault could be either defective batteries or a defective camera. All you can do is to try a full initial battery charge (24 hours) and if that doesn't work return the camera to the retailer for a refund or exchange.

Battery empty message

Put brand new batteries in. The battery empty message means there is no "juice" or power left in the batteries. If they are recharagable batteries, "re-juice" them (charge them).

First, make sure you are using the right type of battery. LiMh re-chargeables are the best to use.  Brand is your preference. In time you'll find a brand you like the best. Get 1800mAh or larger if you can.

Second, look through the menu on the camera and check to see what battery "type it is set for.  "Alkaline" for self bought, Ni cad for rechargeable. This tells the camera how to regulate the power from the batteries.  Also using the wrong off the self batteries will give you the same result you mentioned.  Make sure it is for "photo" or "cameras".

Third, look into the battery compartment.  Look to see if there is any contamination on the brass/copper contacts. A "green" color is a bad sign.  Can be cleaned with baking soda and a tooth brush but very difficult.  Steel wool wrapped around a cotton swab works but leaves behind small particles (desperate method).  Also, sometimes they put a plastic liner inside the battery compartment to protect the contacts during shipment.  Is it still there?

Fourth, maybe the battery charger is faulty.  It may show the batteries charged but they are not.  Try using another charger.

If all these items I have mentioned are OK and check out, then there is really no other simple fix you can do as a consumer and you need to take the camera back. It is an internal problem.  You have had it lees than a year so it should be covered by warrentee.  I'd push the issue if they say "no"

Good luck and please let me know if this solved you problem, thank you..
