This is a bunch of hog wash!!!!!!!!! These systems cost way too much money to have to "SMACK" the remotes to get them to work! Unreal, let's all band together and complain to Nintendo. I'm at email@example.com
Wii support told me to smack the remote into the palm of my hand! didn't work. so i smack the table top with the rubber boot still on the remote fairly hard. this did the trick! the tilt sensor in the remote sticks. common problem i'm told. hope this works for other users.
Had the same problem as evryone else. Before packing it off to Nintendo I tried the 'hitting' solution first. This did the trick (though the wife was a bit startled when I said I was going to try whacking it in my palm first). Anyway though, this is the 3rd faulty controller (including 1 nunchuk) in as many months since buying the wii - surely Mario and the rest of the boys at Nintendo must do something about this ongoing problem.... anyone heard anything?

I have the same problem. It is not a sync issue. Can turn on wii console with Nyko controller, then go into Just Dance 2014. About 4 seconds later the Nyko behaves very strangely, makes some noises and turns off. Controller that comes with the Wii is fine, only the Nyko has problems, and only with Just Dance 2014. JD 2013 and all other games we have are perfectly fine.
I would try reconnecting the controler that is the problem to the wii. There should be a button y ou can hit on the front of the wii that is inside of a little door. It is a red button. Right after hitting that there should be a button on the wiimote's bottom, it the battery area. The lights should blink a while and it should finally connect.
Well, I don't have a Wii myself but I did some checking and found this. Hope it helps.
When you first get a second Wii remote, you have to press the red button inside the battery compartment and you press the red button by the Wii's SD Card slot simultaneously. Then you turn on the game and you press the Wii menu button. Go to controller settings and select reconnect remotes (can't remember if that's the exact words, but it's something like that). Next you hold 1 and 2 on the first remote, then hold 1 and 2 on the second remote. And that should do it.
if you are in the mulitplayer mode and still have trouble adding the remote then try syncing the remote with the wii first by pressing the home button then go into the wii remote settings on the bottom then re-sync each control. Then try going back into mulitplayer mode and try again or while the screen is on when you want to add more players press the '+' button.
I had the same problem and called Nintendo support. They had us unplug the wii console for 30 seconds, plug it back in and start the system back up. BEFORE pressing the A button on the health and safety screen, we needed to take the battery cover off of one remote, press the red sync button, then quickly press the sync button on the front of the wii console (in the front - you have to open the flap). Once the single blue light was on at the bottom of the remote, do the same with the other remote (press the sync button on it and then on the wii console). Then the second blue light should be lit on the second remote. Hope that helps!
Ok well first of all, you'r first remote is working fine right? Ok lets move on to the second remote. On the left of the wii there is a little hatch that you can open, in there there is the slot to insert a SD memory and there is a red button. Press the red button and wile that is hapenning grab the wiimote and pres 1 and 2 at the same time once. The lights on the remote should start flashing and it will be in sync all together.. And voila two wii remotes working fine,
hi, after you enter the game, do the following: (must admit it took me some time to figure it out) 1. hit on home button on wii-mote to bring up wii menu 2. choose remote setting and setup the extra remote(s) you want to use in the game 3. now your extra remote(s) are recognized. you can now go back to the game and choose multi-user mode
hi yeah i had the same problem with mine i phoned nintendo and they told me to turn the remote on its side and tap it three times on a hard surface this resets the motion sensor on the remote and yes it works,im am now a happy bowler. let me know if it works firstname.lastname@example.org i also have number of nintendo if needed
