I bought a shakar CV3 4PE hello kitty digital camera. The internet shop didn't send cd. I can't transfer the photos to my compuer. How to download the software ? How to find the software. Please hel

I see this question about once a day, for all brands and models of cameras. This software is only free, if you can prove you own the camera, or when you have a CD. And don't think you can download your pictures with the software from Kodak or Nikon. The firms protect there programs very well. The only thing I can think of is some free software like from Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop express. Or if your camera does have a memory card, buy a external card reader and use that to transfer the pictures and videos to your computer.

How to transfer data from Digital Camera to Computer

Run the software that came with your camera. Pop the CD into your computer and go through the setup steps. The only way you'll be able to transfer is if you have the software installed. If you bought the camera used or, for one reason or another, just don't seem to have the CD, you can probably find a used or maybe even a new one on eBay. You might be able to find it somewhere else as well.
Connect the camera to the computer. Let's face it, the pictures aren't going to the computer if there is no cord to connect them. Most of the time, you'll hear a sound or something will pop-up if the camera is connected properly and working.
Sync the camera to the computer and transfer the pictures. With most camera software, as soon as you connect the camera to the computer and it recognizes it, something will pop up asking if you would like to sync the pictures to the computer. After that it's pretty self-explanatory. If nothing pops up or it never was supposed to pop up in the first place, open the camera program. Most likely you'll be able to find your way from there. If not, read your camera manual. It should tell you even more than this how-to.
Another option is to buy a Memory Card Reader. They will go by the name " 6 in One, 12 in one, USB Reader Writer or Flash Memory Card Reader Writer. They allow all memory sticks and cards to be recognized by your computer. On Windows XP, you just plug it in and find it as another drive on My Computer then just copy and paste the files you want to transfer.

hope this helps if so do rate the tip...

How do i transfer a picture from the camera to my HP Pavilion Slimline computer?

Does your computer have a memory card reader? if so use that. If you don't have one you can buy a USB memory card reader on eBay for cheap.

Transferring images

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com )

Bought a second hand Pentax Optio m20 with no software and would like to download pictures to my computer.using a windows xp pro operating system.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks John

When you hook the camera up to the usb port, windows should automatically detect it as a drive. Then you can transfer your pictures to a folder on your hard drive. Also, if you have a card reader, you can transfer pictures that way. You can order card readers on ebay or get them at Walmart or Radio Shack.

Only SOME of my pictures on my camera will tranfer to my computer

Hello and welcome to FixYa

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

Kind Regards
Andrea
