I replaced the pickup roller as suggested by the HP Tech Support and now the printer has a grinding noise and won't pick up paper from the paper tray. I can fee the paper into the bypass and it accepts it still with a grinding noise.
What is the solution besides buying another printer?
Thank You!

- I tried what you suggested. I took the pickup roller off and re-installed it. I tried printing a document. The gears grind; it sounds like it's going to pick up the paper. It clicks three times trying to pick up the paper then it stops. I can manually feed the paper through the bypass and it prints.
Now what?
Thank You!
take the roller out again but this time make sure the paper sensor is in the proper place. it does go scew when putting a new roller in. It happened to me last month.
