How Come My Computer Won't Recognize My iPod?

Diana; you need to go to hardware check your comp settings!

see if it says recognized device or ? control panel

go to my comp click on c drive see what comes up.

might be a problem w your device needs usb enabled to communicate with your pc!
there are apps you can download for usb tethering/connecting devices such as a cell phone.

also try to configure your hardware to recognize the device!
ive been through this a lot!! wish you well!!
hope this helps!!

I hav got a cyberview mp4 player from singapore.when i plug to my comp to copy songs from it , thrs a msg sayin tat us b device not recognized..i've tried restartin my comp nd even reinstalled my usb...

try connecting it to the other USB ports and install the driver. It can help sometimes. if it is not working even when you reinstall the driver the device might be dead.

Sansa e280 fatal failure - black screen, unrecognized by comp, won't restart..

1. turn sansa clip on
2. slide to "hold"
3. press and hold center button do NOT let go...
4. plug in the connector cable
5. wait until computer recognises Sansa device
6. let go of center button
7. drag n drop files and you are all set

if that doesnt work you will need to go to the sandisk website to update the firmware on your device..

Comp not recognizing mp3 device

Try a different usb port first, then try another computer (with a compatible OS, of course). If another computer will not recognize it, then the player is actually damaged.
