the unit only shows kanas location

I have the same problem.

Same here. I've walked with the 340 a 1/4 mile from the house just to try a place away from the house. But no luck, I'm still in Kansas and can't leave.

I tried the reset address over and over to no avail. Finally after it was completely charged, I set it by a window and left in turned on with the finding satellite or whatever it said on it, and went to bed. By the next morning it knew where I was. Give it a try and good luck.
