Question about RCA TH1101 MP3 Player
Typically the solution to a problem lays just on the surface, but like most people, we can't see the forest for the trees. I've been looking all over the internet to solve the skipping problem and couldn't find anything but unanswered questions. So I started tinkering with the problem myself.
The jack that the ear buds use has difficulty going all the way into it's plug. Push it all the way in until it clicks and you can only see a small amount of the gold colored jack itself sticking out. Once this is done the music will not skip, even at high volumes.
There it is, the answer hiding in plain site. I -thank you very much- am a geneious (blushing smile of self-pride) lol Hope this helps out someone else!!!

Yea, I had the exact same problem and was geting pretty sad because I thought it was my headphones and after just geting really Pi*sed I gripped hard on the device with my hand. Behold I hear "Click" and it works like a charm I just chuckled and berated myself for not trying harder to figure out what the problem was. It just goes to show that many problems can be figured out easily or are just simple. So if you got a problem just take a little time and experimenting to find a solution. And if you can't find a solution, Google probably can.

I agree, mikem83 saved the day. It was skipping on every song and now it is working like a charm. I really appreciate. I thought it might be the earplugs and I thought I had actually plugged it all the way in. I looked at it again and you really have to push it in until it clicks twice. I kept stopping at the first click. I was considering buying another MP3 but now I won't have to! Thanks again.

I babied this thing ever since I bought it. It is not a week old and acting up horribly. It deleted 2/3 of my music, and the first 9 tracks are skipping. It is in fact, a piece of crap.

Sorry for the person with the bad words. Some people just do not have manners. OK there are a few reasons it will skip weather you know it or not it is music and vibrations do occure and volum has something to do with it. also if you useing an a microsd card it may need to be cleaned but but just be carefull.
