What kind of hydraulic fluid can i use in my farmall 460 that is affordable

if it looks white like milk it could mean that there is water in it.

I own one. Most have a plug in the top of the trans/hydro case to the left and rear of the gear shift leaver. It takes a 3/4" drive to open it. I use an extention and brake bar or ratchet. The fluid should just all most reach the opening. the books state it should hold 8 to 10 gal. I have found my 460 Utility holds almost 20 gals.

caseih hytran fluid is used for hydraulics and transmission fill through plate on top of deck next to shifter check plug is located on left side of transmission housing next to clutch linkage rod probably square headed pipe plug

Check the pressure regulator in the pump

to the right of the shifting lever open the cover and pour it in there but when done use former gasket or any kind of sealer to make sure that it doesnt leak

i am not sure but check the levers and the inside of the lever control movements.

i use hytrain oil from a caseih dealer or napa would help you out

dont know if i answered this one or not you have usually just slipped the gear shifter out of the notches in the transmission ( I heard there is a fixit kit for aprox $400 but never could justify) 1. take off the shift lever (3 bolts). 2. look in the hole and find out which one of the parts are not in line (all notches should be in the center of the hole to be in neutral) put gear selector in wth the tip in the slot or notch that is out of alignment. push down and try to move back to neutral.should move relatively easy.when all are lined up tighten back up (check your transmission fluid hydraulic fluid at this time as it is easiest to add it through the shifter hole. Full plug is located below the clutch pedal and fluid should come out when it is full.

check the carb out clean it and the lines also just to be sure check the sparkplugs
